Orange County Tree Care Company
Tree Removal Service
Tree Removal Service Tustin, CA
Sometimes tree removal is necessary to keep a residential or business property both safe and beautiful.
Tree removal is a very delicate process, and extremely technical. Although it's something that many people try to attempt themselves, we can't stress enough that it's not a task that should be left to someone who is inexperienced. So DIY tree removal is absolutely out of the question. And when you do decide to hire a tree service to do the job for you, make sure that they are not amateurs. If you own a home or manage a business property and some unlicensed contractor is injured while trying to remove a tree on your property, you can be held liable for any damages caused. We've heard the horror stories, and you definitely don't want that to happen to you.
There is also the chance that such an individual could cause damage to your property and then suddenly vanish from the face of the earth. It is important to hire a reliable tree care company that you can trust to conduct themselves properly and professionally, with the correct certifications. It is also imperative to hire tree service professionals in Orange County who are properly insured to remove and transport the tree away from your property.
If you're in need of a tree removal service, don't settle for anything less than the best in Orange County.

How can you tell if a tree needs to be removed?
This is a great question, and it's one we hear all the time. There are many factors to consider, and we'll name just a few here to get you started. But this list is by no means all-inclusive, so if you have a feeling that a tree on your property may need to be removed, please contact us and we'll assess the situation.
Check for trunk damage
Severe damage to the main trunk is often a sign that the tree should be removed. Look for vertical cracks, seams, dead branch stubs, or any large wounds that would indicate that the inside of the tree is decaying. But trees can heal, so the wound should be significant for you to consider removal. We're talking damage that is more than 25% of the circumference of the trunk. Anything less than that has a chance of healing on its own over time.
See if the trunk is hollow
Many trees can live for years and years with a hollow trunk, because the main tissues that support its life can be found on the outer edges. So just because a tree appears to be healthy on the outside does not mean that it shouldn't be removed. Hollow trees are weak, and weak trees are dangerous. If one-third of the interior of the tree is hollow or rotted out, the tree should be removed. But we understand that this can be a difficult determination for a homeowner or business owner to make, so please contact us if you need help with this.
Do you see a bunch of dead branches on one side of the tree?
This is evidence of root or trunk damage on one side of the tree. Since the dead side weighs less than the living side, the tree will be imbalanced and potentially more prone to falling. If this is the case with your tree, it will definitely need to be evaluated by Orange County Tree Care Company.
See if the tree is leaning
Leaning is probably one of the more obvious signs that a tree may need to be removed, because it presents many more hazards than a tree that is growing straight up. If a tree is leaning, it's likely due to breakage or weakening of the roots, which will only get worse over time. It does not take much of a lean to make a tree a hazard. As a general rule of thumb, if a tree is more than 15% off from it's vertical (which really isn't a lot) it should probably be removed.
Removing trees close to power lines
Any trees that are under power lines should reach a mature height of nothing more than 25 feet. A tree that is growing towards power lines might not necessarily need to be removed, but it will definitely need to be thinned out. This is most certainly not a task that should be attempted by a homeowner or a property manager. In the event of wet weather, electricity can arc as much as ten feet to the foliage of a wet tree and ground out. This can cause power failure or even property damage. It cannot be stressed enough how dangerous it is for someone inexperienced to attempt to perform any kind of maintenance on a tree that has grown close to power lines. If you encounter this situation, please contact us so that we can perform this service properly.
